If you have been playing Arc Raiders lately, you already know how much of a game-changer the Rascal Grenade Launcher is. It clears out crowds, shreds hard targets, and completely dictates the pacing of a firefight. But here is the catch: you cannot just stroll up to a vendor in Speranza and buy it with cash. The Rascal blueprint is purely a random world loot drop. To get your hands on it permanently, you have to find that rare blueprint out in the wild and bring it back to a Level 3 Gunsmith workbench to craft it.

Relying purely on blind luck can take forever, but experienced players have figured out how to optimize the hunt. By targeting specific containers, running under the right map modifiers, and hitting high-density hotspots, you can drastically cut down the grind. Here is the breakdown on how to farm the Rascal fast.

1. Target High-Probability Containers
The Rascal blueprint shares a massive, dynamic loot pool with general raider gear and weapons. If you are wasting time searching loose floor loot or opening generic trash piles, you are dragging out the process. When you are on a fast-farming route, keep your eyes peeled for these specific objects:

Grenade Cases & Ammo Boxes: This is your primary target. The community repeatedly reports that these containers yield the most consistent drop rates for heavy weapon blueprints.

Raider Caches & Bags: Do not walk past standard brown raider bags, heavy weapon crates, or buried caches. They are quick to open and have a solid place in the dynamic drop table.

Medical Bags: A lot of raiders completely ignore medical containers when looking for guns, but that is a mistake. Medical bags are explicitly confirmed to hold high-tier blueprints, including the Rascal. Because they are often skipped by other squads, they are usually left unlooted for you to check.

2. Farm the Right Map Modifiers
If you are dropping into basic, vanilla day raids to farm this weapon, you are making things harder on yourself. Map modifiers fundamentally change item rarity and drop frequencies across the board. If you want to be efficient, wait for these conditions:

The Hurricane Map Condition: When a storm event hits, keep your head down and look for First Wave Caches. These surface globally across the zones during the hurricane and offer some of the highest baseline drop rates in the entire game.

Night Raids: Running maps at night natively enhances overall world loot values. Standard containers get a major buff to their drop tables, meaning high-tier items like the Rascal blueprint have a much better chance of appearing in basic boxes.

3. Hit the Best Map Hotspots
While the blueprint can technically pop up on any map, veteran players are actively prioritizing a few specific locations because of their sheer container density and buffed loot tables:

Riven Tides (Stacking Yard Cranes): Load into the night variation of Riven Tides and sprint to the Stacking Yard. Climb the three massive cranes. You want to check the physical ends of the crane structures and the tight spaces right under the desks inside the crane cabins. You can hit up to six different grenade case spawns in a single, rapid run here.

Dam Battlegrounds & Bluegate: Focus your attention on the floodgates, the reinforced reception lobbies, and any locked key rooms. These specific areas received heavy loot buffs recently, making them prime territory for rare drops.

Security Breach Cabinets: If you have already unlocked the Security Breach skill, look for the locked red lockers on maps like Buried City or Stella Montis. These cabinets offer a heavily enhanced blueprint drop rate compared to standard chests.

4. Secure and Build Your Loadout
Finding the blueprint is only half the battle; you still have to make it out alive. Don't risk losing hours of farming to an unexpected squad wipe or a bad extraction.

Equip Safe Pockets: Before you even drop into a raid, make sure your backpack configuration includes at least one Safe Pocket. The absolute second you see that Rascal blueprint pop out of a chest, drag it into your Safe Pocket slot. That way, even if you fail the extraction, the blueprint stays with you permanently.

Pre-Gather Materials: Don't wait until you have the blueprint to start hoarding crafting supplies. To build the launcher immediately upon your return to Speranza, save up 3 Heavy Gun Parts, 2 Advanced Mechanical Components, and a handful of Canisters ahead of time. Having these sitting in your stash means you can assemble your new weapon the moment you exit the extraction zone.
